Dear Simon,

I know you don't know me, but I'm kind of following you and writing your life. I hope you can forgive me for all the somewhat crappy things in your childhood, and your less than ideal parents.

Also, your whole obsession thing...I hope you understand that this is something that is an integral part of you, and something you are passionate about. I hope you don't feel it as an encumbrance. It really isn't. I swear you are far more interesting for all your zeal and all the passion you have for your studies of death.

You're a really neat guy, and I'm enjoying tagging along. I hope you like Rachel, you two seemed like a pretty good match and I'm glad I introduced you.
